Charter is going to televise both the Bucks and the Brewers tonight! Happy viewing.

Charter to Provide Both Bucks and Brewers Games Tuesday April 20

Bucks in NBA play-offs creates scheduling conflicts

– Charter announced today that it will provide both the Milwaukee Bucks and Milwaukee Brewers games live on Tuesday evening April 20. Originally, the Fox Sports Wisconsin (FS-WI) schedule lists carriage of the Brewers game versus the Pirates, but due to the good news involving the Bucks gaining a long-awaited play-off berth, arrangements needed to be made for carriage of both teams’ games.

The Milwaukee Brewers/Pittsburg Pirates MLB game will be carried on channel 88 on Charter’s Expanded Basic (digital only) service, while the Milwaukee Bucks /Atlanta Hawks NBA playoff game will appear on FS-WI’s regular channel (26 Madison) ( 38 in Wausau, Rapids, Point and Marshfield) (31 in Eau Claire and La Crosse and (30 in FDL). A Charter digital receiver will be required to view the game on channel 88.

“Both Milwaukee teams have a large Wisconsin fan following, so we felt strongly about making sure we could provide both games to our customers,” stated Lisa Washa, Vice President and General Manager of Charter’s Wisconsin Operations. “Our Charter team quickly created a plan so our customers will not miss any of the action.”

Fox Sports Wisconsin will televise 136 regular-season Milwaukee Brewers games in 2010—all of which will be available in HD from Charter. Coverage of Bucks play-off games are scheduled on a game by game basis, depending on which sports network obtains the telecast rights.

Coverage of the Brewers game on Tuesday, April 20 begins at 6:05 pm on channel 88, while the Bucks coverage starts at 6 pm on channel 26. For more information about the sports programming available with Charter TV, call 1-888-GET-CHARTER (1-888-438-2427) or go to charter.com.

As FYI – due to the late notice in pulling this channel together, the Ch 88 Bonus feed will not have programming information in the guide. Customers looking to set recordings for the Brewers game will need to manually record as the program information will not be available to set this as a scheduled program.

Isn't the game scheduled to be carried on WMLW, which I believe Charter carries anyway?

Madison charter does not have wmlw, it will show wmlw brewers games on fsn when there are no conflicts.

A friend of mine who works for charter sent me that info today.

Any word on if or what channel the game will be on for DirecTV customers outside the WLMW area? I'm in Eau Claire and I see the game does show up on the guide on RSN Alternate channel 657...I wonder if we will acually get to see it...
Good question. According to the Pirates web site, they are not broadcasting the game tonight. If you can believe that, then the only broadcast of the game will be originating from the Brewers. That leads me to believe (with hope and trepidation), that the ch. 657 broadcast is the WMLW broadcast.

Crossing fingers now.....

For those outside of WMLW's range:

Time Warner channel 310

Charter channel 88

Direct TV channel 657

DISH Network channel 475

AT&T UVerse channel 1693

Where do you find this information? Just recently got DISH in the Madison area and have often been unable to find an HD feed. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Found the UVerse one going through my guide. I should've known since that's the channel the Badgers are usually on when they're not on the main Big Ten Network channel.

Yes. I have put two calls into them now, and have completed one phone survey about the calls. Bottom line, I had to rate the service terrible across the board. The person didn't know what channels I actually subscribe to, tried to tell me I need a different package twice, and then I get an email an hour later stating my package has changed due to my request. We'll see tomorrow, but I'm not liking the chances of us retaining Dish for much longer. This isn't the first time I have had issues with the Brewers broadcast. There was a game last year for which they didn't even provide the feed.

I told them I was going to spread the word about my dissatisfaction, so here I am. Hurry up AT&T and get that U-verse cranking in my neighborhood.

I have Time Warner, just checked my onscreen guide, and it lists Brewers/Pirates at 6 on channel 310. I'm in Neenah, so I'm guessing that's for the whole Fox Valley. I'm pretty sure they created the alternate channel just for the game, as I don't remember there being a channel 30 before. I was expecting to not be able to see the game, so this is really nice. Even though I couldn't care less about the NBA, now I won't root against the Bucks because they preempt the Brewers.

I'm watching the game on MLB TV, but there are no announcers. I just hear the in game sound. Anyone else having that experience?
Yep. But the MLB.tv feed is HD, and actually a split second ahead of the WMLW feed on my TV.
