Replies posted out of order: need help gathering examples

There's a current Yuku bug where some replies are posted out of order. Staff is looking for examples so they can check into this.

 

The message that appears first needs to quote a message that appears

later. Here are two examples from our board: [+]

Quotes don't necessarily have to use the quote feature. In other words, if someone quotes a line of text using italics (or whatever), it's still proof that the replies are out of order.

 

If you find an example and could provide a link along with the reply numbers involved, it'd be appreciated. I'll relay the information to Yuku. In addition to Brewerfan, feel free to report here if you see the issue occur on LambeauLeap, BPS, or any other Yuku board.

I was just coming here to post about this. It's especially frustrating in the IGT where the posts move quickly. See this IGT where on page 2 I somehow congratulate Counsell on his grandslam before he even comes to bat and on page 3 where I quote and answer Teatoe's question before he even asks it.

gosh, I know you've addressed this before; but I would think if they wanted to correct a bug it should be the last page blank bug. That is a daily issue and hands down the most annoying one.

greeg35, that's definitely the #1 bug that our membership complains about. That and the other crap that came along with it...

• Hitting the last page number next to a thread title and landing on the second last page
• Mods seeing different reply numbers than non-mods

As I mentioned in the "don't convert" topic, this mess has been going on since August, 2008.

 

Actually, any attention to the boards at all would be welcome at this point. We've seen precious little for close to two years. Even though staff is asking for help with this bug, I'm not really optimistic that anything will be done about it.

Ya got that right. Honestly, I don't think the developers have any idea what might be wrong. And actually, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't even know it's happening.

 

On a brighter note, we're hearing that the "replies out of order" bug might be fixed. The gurus stumbled on something that's supposed to address all time-related bugs (including posts not being marked as read).
