Wow, the Brewers are all kinds of suck right now.

 

The one hope I have is that they're substituting their usual late season funk for an early one this year. All these hot starts the past few years really haven't gotten them much.

According to gameday this guys strike zone is just silly. 3 of those 4 pitches to Morgan were strikes including one that completely caught the plate. In the first inning I noticed a few of Livan's outside pitchers were called strikes. It has been all over the place. Anyone watching the game that can comment?

 

Looking back on things it looks like he is giving a really small strike zone for LH hitters and a wide one for RH hitters.

Crew is defining "bad baseball" right now; i.e., sketchy pitching plus making the wrong play at the wrong time, or simply failing to make the right play at the right time.

 

Better find a way to get back into this one or they could be in early season crisis mode by the time they get back home to be greeted by all the Cubs fans taking over Miller Park.

Haudricourt just had a tweet that made me cringe: "Randy Wolf allows 2-run HR by J. Maxwell, keeping alive Brewers' club-record streak of starters allowing HRs in each of the first 11 games."

 

That is a pretty sad record.
