I was hoping this was the photo of the exact moment when Scooter Gennett left Thursday night's Wisconsin game early -- but this is actually from the first inning double play on which he was erased. Khris Davis grounded into both DP's, this one and the one in the third inning.

Photo by John Lovretta/The Hawk Eye -- Burlington's Gerard Hall jumps Wisconsin's Scooter Gennett while turning a double play in the first inning.

We'll have to wait and see Friday's starting lineup.

Gennett back in the lineup tonight, apparently the injury was nothing.

Odorizzi is toying with hitters through two. Peter Fatse with a couple of rbi's. Gindl with a hit and Cain with a walk, but the stars couldn't put any across in the first. Rogers, though a bit wild, has looked strong through two. Lucroy is sitting in favor of McCraw tonight. Wheeler is hitting in the four hole.

nothing but a hbp and a walk for odorizzi. wow.

don't forget to mention he has 8K through 5, though he might be done now.

Unfortunately Rogers continues to walk hitters,4BB, 4K so far with 3R and 1 ER, a Lawrie error extending the inning on him. Hopefully he adjusts as the season progresses and starts to locate better.

edit. Back to Odorizzi, 77 pitches, 50 for strikes... that's what I'm talking about young man!

It always sucks when they pull a pitcher during a no-hitter. Even in Low A ball it is a special moment of them. I understand though with the extremely strick minor league pitch counts theses days, but its still a bumber

Scarpetta had a really, really good night as well. 6 K's in 6. 1 BB and 1 HBP. Komatsu is having a great night atthe plate and on the base paths. He would go a long way to solidifying that BC lineup.

Cain gunned down guy at second and Gennett got gunned at home tonight as well. Very interesting night.

Final: Brevard County 4, Dunedin 1

Brevard County box score

Cody Scarpetta's second start went a whole lot better than his first. He tossed six scoreless innings, allowing five hits, striking out six, and walking just one (plus a hit batter). That last bit is especially encouraging in light of the six free passes he handed out in his debut. Erik Komatsu was the offensive star for the Manatees, posting a perfect 4-4 line while komalishing a double and stealing three bases. Sergio Miranda and Mike Roberts each had two hits, and Erik Miller went 1-3 with a sac fly and threw a runner out at home.

Brevard County play-by-play

Scarpetta's first four strikeouts were called, including three in the first inning.
