Yeah, but that doesn't mean its a good thing... I remember freezing while sitting at a County Stadium game in April (free Kool-Aid game if you remember those) and seeing ~8,000 fans on a Sunday afternoon.

Ah, yes the free kool-aid games. I remember sitting at a couple of those and we were all wearing snow pants or snow suits and hoping the sun might hit our seats at some point. Even temps in the 50s are cold when you are just sitting for 3 hours in the shade or on a cloudy day.

I do wish MP could have a more open breezy feel on the nice days, though. It is very closed in even when the lid is open. But all things considered, I prefer having the roof.

Every time I go to a game in April I am thankful of the roof on MP. I also remeber the April games in April at County stadium. I also remember flurries on opening day freezing. I also sat through a game that was delayed because of fog. No fun.

I went to a couple games in Cincinnati last year and sat through a 3 hour rain delay just because we drove that whole way. If that was in Milwaukee I leave as soon as the rain started. I'll take MP anyday.

  • 1 month later...

i stepped outside at 9:00 last night in shorts and a t-shirt and sat on my steps just to gauge how i felt being outdoors in those temperatures.

having left wisconsin over a decade ago, it's been quite some time since i've been to evening outdoor baseball in the midwest.

despite the struggles of the team, i'm overly excited to see the brewers in a couple days.

and . . . i just may wear shorts to the game.
