I really don't understand why Edmonds is getting starts in CF now, and I especially don't understand why he is hitting in the 2 hole.

Probably has something to do with Gomez going 1-15 with no walks since opening day and Hart scorching the ball last night. Not sure who else you would put in the 2 hole. Escobar hits far too many ground balls and doesn't walk enough to warrant going there.

Try living on the IL border.... Its worse...
Or in central Illinois where your surrounded by Cubs and Cardinal fans. It's the closest thing to Hell on Earth. Go Brewers!

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people

I'm guessing that it has more to do with Gomez fouling back to back pitches off of his lower left leg on Saturday. Being a player whose main advantages are based on speed, having a bum wheel really hampers his ability to impact the game.

Everything I've ever known, I've learned from Brewerfan.net....Seriously though

Maybe with another tough(er) righty he wants to wait for Gomez to be in against a guy who will have more success with. But I can see Macha really having issues with Gomez at the plate. It's the complete opposite of what he likes.

Edmonds in the 2 hole isn't the problem. He really shouldn't be starting in CF while we have Gerut on the team. This is just old coach "he has always played in CF" thinking. He looked ok last night but he really didn't field anything except pop-ups. Seriously Macha, get Gerut some at bats. Macha is still doing a horrible job getting guys playing time. A few days from now we will need Gerut to pinch hit and he will not have faced live pitching for a long time. Then he won't get playing time because he isn't hitting well.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

Gomez sitting is a combination of 3 things, in my opinion: Macha wants Edmonds in vs a pitcher he has had success against before, and Hart is swinging a hotter bat than Gomez right now. Also, Gomez is recovering from fouling pitches off his lower leg, and while the club isn't talking about it, he probably needs a little recovery time. What will be telling in regards to Gomez' injury is whether he is used as a late inning pinch runner or defensive replacement.

The Brewers probably want to give Gomez another day off today, and bring him back on Wednesday

Arrogant Cub fans is redundant.
