Soup blames neck injury on bad pillows

I have had problems with my back or neck for days after sleeping wrong or having a crappy pillow. I don't think it is totally ridiculous that he hurt himself because of a bad pillow. His pitching on the other hand, well there is a whole other thread on that.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

The old Oriole Way included using young pitchers as long relief specialists while they learned the league, then working them into the rotation over time. It's not such a bad thing to do this with Narveson and Parra.

Except Parra has already pitched almost 2 complete seasons as a starter for the Brewers.

And one of those seasons he was purty awful. Worse than Suppan.
and the other was really good.

I understand that; and trust me, I'd rather Parra was the 5th starter than Suppan. I also think Soup's contract was pretty much the deciding factor. That and his Veteran Grittiness, which drives me mad whenever that happens. Still, I won't wish Suppan pitches terribly and the Brewers suffer just so "justice" can be served in my eyes. I'd rather he pitch as well as he ever has and the Brewers thrive.

when's jeff suppan pillow night at miller park? all fans 18 and over get a pillow and are allowed on to the field prior to the game for five minutes to take swings at jeff suppan.

name the brewer that injured himself trying to demonstrate how to rip a phone directory in two.

Gotta love the difference between the MLB and NHL when it comes to disclosing injuries. As a hockey fan, I'm lucky to hear anything more than "upper-body injury" (which could be anything from knees to head).

If I ever had to miss games for sneezing, tearing a phone book, or having a pillow that just isn't quite soft enough, I would probably move to Barrow, Alaska and change my name.

This is going to go on those lists of most ridiculous sports injuries ever. Sammy Sosa sneezing, Jeff Kent washing his truck, etc.
When you are as juiced up as Sosa apparently was, sneezing can be pretty dangerous...

Suppan probably should have kept that one to himself, though, especially in a working-man's town like Milwaukee... such excuses might fly as a Giant, but then again if Suppan was a Giant he would have been traded or DFA'ed a long time ago...
