Cubs increased ticket price 10% - now are priciest in baseball

Dbacks prices are low just because of the god-awful 3rd deck. It's best seat is probably still farther from the field than Miller Park's last row. Brewers are most affordable when factoring in food and parking.

And as for the Cubs...it's crazy because I've been there for about 4 games, and never had a problem buying tickets at the window on gameday. Maybe it's been a few years, but I can't believe they're the highest!

Their tickets being priciest makes sense in terms of supply & demand. But think about that... you're paying more (on average) to sit in that dump than the new Yankee Stadium. The Cubs are probably the most overdue for a new stadium of any team in MLB.

This doesnt mean much.

One important caveat in the numbers is premium ticketing. The Cubs' have the smallest percentage of tickets (not including luxury suites or the team's new PNC Club or Batter's Eye club) classified as "premium" at just below 1 percent.

By comparison, the New York Mets classify 37 percent of their tickets as premium, the Red Sox 21 percent and the Yankees 16 percent.

The Cubs make up for the lack of premium seating through the regular seats.
