Bill Hall's moment of infamy so far as a Red Sox is almost spilling out of the dugout. He tripped on the top step and caught himself before he fell during introductions. He gave the Billy Hall sly smile as he walked to the baseline.

 

I'm just glad baseball is back.

Yeah, Miller is alright. I like Hershiser but Morgan is just terrible.

After Cameron walked Miller said that it was unusual because Cameron isn't known for his OBP.

I never know if I'm overreacting, but I just despise hearing from managers during a game. I can deal with it during spring broadcasts, fine. But this is the regular season - get out of the dugout, there is a game going on. We never hear anything of substance that we couldn't otherwise get from the post-game interview.

Same goes for the on-field camera guy to get that one stupid up-shot of a guy crossing the plate after his home run trot. Get that guy off of the field.

Well his career OBP is only a little over average. On the other hand he walks quite a bit.

Scott Schoeneweis gets his MLB job anyway, landing on his feet with the Red Sox. He just didn't have a place on the Brewers.

Joe West is so inconsistent with the strike zone. Check these out. One from the 4th inning with Beckett against Gardner, the other is Robertson against Drew.

A few years back there was an article on either THT or BP that went over all the MLB umpires and showed the tenancies of where they called balls and strikes. I wish they updated it every year. It was very interesting.
