It sounds like the wind is carrying out pretty hard today, so that could have a lot to do with it. Counsell hit one as well, so that seems like it may be the case.

So then none of the HRs were legit?

According to gameday the wind is blowing at 10 mph. If we have to make excuses on HR's by our pitchers when the wind is blowing at 10 mph, we should probably just forfeit the season.

Jeff Cirillo was on the D List today and this was before the game was on. He said that when he used to come to the field in spring training and he would see the flags blowing at all that it would be a field day for the hitters. Im not too worried.

Stetter's 13ish ERA has me concerned, and yes I know I'm predisposed to prejudice against LOOGYs. It's a little bit unnerving when McClendon and Luetge can come up from minor league camp and manage to not give up any runs at the backend of a ST game but Stetter continues to get bombed.

Definitely some were, but the broadcasters made it sound like the wind was helping.

I'm not that worried about Wolf's performance in the last ST game. I'd rather have him hold back a bit than wear himself out before next week.

As far as Stetter, at least if he falters, we have Axford waiting in the wings.

Maybe thinking of Braddock?

I second or third the question of tinkering with Stetter's delivery, why mess with it for a LOOGY, especially one that seems to help make him harder to hit. Maybe they thought he wasn't throwing enough strikes? IIRC, he seemed to get behind in the count late last year when hitters took pitches but I could be totally wrong.
