We need to get our collective mojo going so that the Cardinals sign him. No way I wouldn't pay to see LaRussa and Dukes go at it.

I could actually visualize a Dukes vs Zambrano slugfest at Wrigley. The Cubs like to cross promote their team, how bout they sign him and after every Zambrano blowup on the field, they go at it MMA style on top of the dugout?

Dukes is a pretty good guy. He's aloof, but in the Fall League, he's right up there with guys like Miguel Montero, Huston Street, Ryan Howard, Stephen Drew, etc, as guys that truly respected the support staffs around them. Guys like James Loney and Jarrod Saltalamacchia treated people like crap. Dukes has his demons, but he has more talent than any minor league OF we currently have. My concern is that he has no cartilage in his knee.

Ouch! That'll shorten a career and affect quality of life after. Arthritis is right around the corner. Didn't Andre Dawson have the same problem for years and still played in the N.L. with no DH? There are other examples, but none come to mind.

Its basketball and not quite the same issue, but Dejuan Blair has no ACLs in his knees. They deteriorated gradually, and supposedly, his body just got used to not having them.
