Brewers seek passage of scalping bill

Invader3K

If the Brewers did the adjusted pricing thing, sure they'd make more on some of the popular games, but they'd also lose on a lot of games. In years like 2008, it wouldn't matter - the good would far outweight the bad. But for weeknights, sometimes it's a struggle to get $5 each for my terrace tickets - tickets for a lot of the weeknight games are worth nowehere near the face value of the ticket. Also, last year a lot of marquee games even sold for less than the marquee face value for that game. (People were getting rid of loge level tickets to one of the White Sox games for $5-$10 each.) On top of all this, it seems as though pricing season tickets would become more confusing under the fluctuating pricing...

So is that article suggesting that the Brewers can't really do much about sellers outside of the zone now? That article makes it sound like it's a Brewers rule, but that it's not technically illegal to sell tickets outside of the zone. I also wonder about the issue of selling over face value....
