Lost Season 6...

razzzorsharp
Video about unanswered Lost questions. I'm surprised about how many I forgot about.
So many of those questions really got answered through out the show if you pay close attention. The dharma food, Walt's appearing, Christian's appearing off the island, and why the psychic said Claire had to raise Walt were some of the ones that did not get answered. However I would say 50% of those got answered and another 25% easily fall into the "is that really important at all category." People seemed to nitpick questions with Lost a lot. Obviously some of those on that list were jokes, ie Expose, the polar bear in walt's comic, etc, but only a handful of those would fall in the genuine unanswered questions.

The article in the last link was a good read as well.

I agree. If secrets to the island were the only thing the viewer was interested in, then they missed the point of the series. I just thought the video was a good recap of all the "What does that mean?" moments.

I think a lot of the "problems" with Lost stems from the writer's strike. They ended up losing a bunch of episodes with that. Also, I think the writers were just adding mysterious things in without really having answers to them, hoping they would be able to put in answers later. Once it became clear that Lost was heading in a more religious direction (good vs. evil, purgatory, etc.), they probably figured the sci-fi questions weren't as important. While I wish a lot of the earlier sci-fi stuff was answered, I still think the finale was a great episode. I like to think of Lost as being basically 2 parts, seasons 1-4 and then seasons 5-6. 1-4 was a lot more sci-fi while 5-6 basically focused on Jacob & MIB and the other religious stuff. Looking at it that way, I think both parts were very good, though the first couple seasons were obviously the best.
I'm not trying to tear down the biz, but they announced the show was ending several months before the writers strike. At the time, they said they'd do 48 more episodes (16 per season). The episode counts actually ended up going 14,17,17. So really they didn't lose anything except a little of season 4. Considering what they had already shown for season 6, the ending was good and made sense. However, it's frustrating that the ending had very little, if anything, to do with what happened before season 6.
