Wisconsin Timberattlers

jakesdaddio

I need to ask you guys who are very knowledgable about the Brewers minor league system...how are the T-rats going to be this year? Any stars on the roster to start out this season? I live in Appleton, and love to go to games, but since this is only my second year actually caring who is on the rattlers roster, who will be the couple of guys to watch this year??

I'm not sure when the official decisions are made, but from that list I'd say that the starting rotation would be very strong. Kentrail Davis is a guy that I think has the chance to turn himself into a top hitting prospect for the Crew with a strong 2010. D'Vontrey Richardson is another exciting guy in terms of potential.

Here are the guys that show up on BF's latest Power 50:

P Arnett (5)

OF Davis (8)

P Odorizzi (13)

P Heckathorn (16)

P Bucci (23)

OF Richardson (24)

P Howell (25)

SS Prince (30)

P Lasker (34)

P Nieves (41)

2B Dysktra (43)

P Fredrickson (45)

OF Komatsu (47)

Apologies if I missed anyone or mis-ranked anyone

That's going to be a fun starting rotation to follow in the Link reports. I went up to Appleton last year to catch a game and its fun, cheap, and worth your while. I'd recommend it to anybody.
Agreed. I paid $8 and sat in the 4th row behind the Rattler's dugout. And I parked about 15 ft from the gate (well, maybe a bit more, but much closer than anyone can park at MP). I didn't get to watch a very good game last year (we got hammered pretty good), but this year should be very different.

I cant wait to go to some of these games. Every game the starting pitcher(an/or piggyback) will have a legitimate shot to be a starting pitcher in the bigs.

Arnett, Odorizzi, Heckathorn, Howell, Bucci, Lasker, Nieves, and maybe even Brooks Hall at the end of the season.

I watched more than my fair share of games live and I would highly recommend the experience to anyone as well. For someone like me the game was enough, but they have plenty of entertainment outside of the actual game, like all MiLB teams, if you needs to keep the kiddies and whatnot occupied.

Folks, there is no way Zarraga should catch in front of Alfonso. If you've seen the two play you know Alfonso is as good a hitter, and head and shoulders better defensively. Zarraga is a much better first baseman than he is a catcher. He struggles often just holding on to pitches. Obviously he is younger, but there is no comparison in their athletic skills.
