Tyco race track

logan82
I have a mid eighties Tyco race track from my youth and was hoping for some tips on making it run better. 1/64th or HO scale. Also any tips on where to pick up some replacement parts for the cars other than E-Bay would be great. I think they were Tyco 440-X2 cars.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

Hobby shops usually carry things like that.

Found this site doing a quick google search. ncphobbies.

Where do you live? Cudahy News & Hobby used to have an extremely extensive slot car section, including a massive track setup in the basement. They moved to Greenfield (and changed their name) a few years ago and I haven't been there since but I assume they are still in to slot cars. I would give them a call if you are in the Milwaukee area.

I just looked for their website, and yes, they still have an enormous slot car section, including HO scale. Those guys love slot cars (they still apparently have their 43 1/2 foot track that they let people rent out (though it apparently can only support 1/24 and 1/32 cars)) and if they don't know how to help you, they'll surely know someone who does.
