Fantasy Baseball: 2009-10 Offseason

flosses like fossas

winter meetings have wrapped up and player movement is in full-swing, what better time to start pondering the what-ifs of fantasy ball?

my brothers and i are starting a dynasty-style keeper league this winter (salary caps, minors, etc.) and it would be really cool if any serious players/bf.net members would share their league constitution as a model. we're writing ours right now, and there's plenty to be hashed out, so guidelines would be really helpful.

ESPN's auction is great. I have used it for football and it works well. The main problem that I find is that ESPN ranks the players from best to worst and most people just select the top player to auction off rather than choosing guys much further down the list. Example - Hanley Ramirez auctioned 1st, Pujols 2nd, A-Rod 3rd, etc, etc. If you have people in the auction who know how to play auction style then it becomes a little bit better.

brandon webb (0)

matt cain (2)
