What if Brantley were still here...how would the dominos fall?

If Cleveland had taken TGreen instead of MBrantley then some things would be different around here...

 

Brantley would be on the 40 man roster and someone now on the MIL 40 man would not be...any idea who?

Maybe that person could have been packaged with JJ to get more pitching and not pick up CGomez in CF...or maybe Gomez would platoon with Brantley.

 

Would you assume that Brantley is player enough in 2010 to start in CF at that young age?..it would be interesting to see how the team might be different...and the lineup would be different too...Brantley could hit 2nd, but I don't think Gomez is up to that.

Let it be known right out of the gate that I prefer Taylor Green to Brantley and view Green as our 3rd basemen of the future. I think he has a chance to be a prototypical #2 hitter for us.

 

That said, we'd most definitely be in a better situation on the big league level this year if we still had Brantley. He'd very possibly be slated in as our CF'er next year and our #2 hitter behind Weeks if not our leadoff hitter.
