I know that using actual words to convey one's thoughts is often an incredibly exhausting and frivolous activity, so I simply ask that everyone dig deep and find the strength to construct fully-formed words and coherent statements. Quotations are to be used as reference points for subsequent posts and discussion, not as surrogate opinions. If you're not interested in or capable of putting forth the effort to come up with something other than "I agree" (or some equivalent thereof), then you'll undoubtedly be pleased to know that not posting anything at all requires even less effort on your part.

 

Also, I preemptively appreciate the ironic humor in signaling one's agreement with me by posting "+1", so there's no need to actually do it.

See, that's what I initially thought too. But when I discussed it with Big Reed, he thought it was woefully terse. So I decided to meet him halfway.

I agree completely. I see too many other forums on the internet that are full of filler posts like "+1", and the like. It's just extra stuff to sift through to get to the real content.
