Ryan Braun wins second Silver Slugger Award.

Invader3K

From Brewers.com:

After batting .320 with 32 home runs and 114 RBIs, Braun became the first Brewer since Paul Molitor, more than two decades ago, to win a Silver Slugger Award in consecutive years. Since 1980, the awards have been given annually to the best offensive player at each position as selected by the Major League Baseball managers and coaches.

Braun is a tremendous talent and we're lucky to have him. I'm glad he's continuing to get recognition around the league.

His numbers are more impressive to me every time I look at them. What a year he had! Is it reasonable to expect .310/35/120 next year? Obviously that last number depends a lot on who we put in front of him, but having a guy who you could reasonably project to have those numbers is nice. Especially when you consider he is locked up for 6 years.

The scary thing to me about Braun is that, yes, you should expect a .300-ish AVG & 70 or more XBHs in any given season. His ability is just incredible. If he's ever able to develop the kind of plate discipline Fielder has, he'll be an absolute nightmare.
