The Last Minute Costume Ideas Thread

sbrylski

As usual, I wait to the last minute.

My ideas:

Harry Potter (marker + zig-zag on forehead = done, don't even have to put in the contacts ; I've been told I look like HP in the past too. He's a sex symbol, right?)

Princess Leia (just the wig)

Elian Gonzalez Protester (T-shirt with his face + sign/hat saying "Bring Elian Home")

Blind Tim McClelland (MLB logo hat + blue shirt/jacket + gray pants + sunglasses)

What sounds best? And please spit out more ideas, or gloat about your costume.

My wife and I are going as the SNL Spartan cheerleaders. It's a store bought costume.

Normally, we don't dress up, but we will be at Disney World during Halloween.

I'm headed to a party for a church group, so I think I'll be either Zombie Moses or Jonah. Jonah is an easy one if I can just find a fish or shark costume. Moses I suppose that'd just be some sorta white robe, white beard and wig and a walking stick. although how do you make that "zombie"? just some red eye paint? Commandments 1-10 will just say "Brains!" for each.

some years ago for the Halloween hockey game, the dude in front of me dressed up as the Menards guy. it was hilarious.

I think I last dressed up for Halloween when I was like 9. So I guess I don't get Halloween as adults. My students sure get into it though. Of course, that's cause they're going to parties and doing things we never dreamt of in HS

Steve Bartman?

I was going to say the same thing! That racket will never get old.

Get a big mu-mu, tape a bunch of pillows to your belly, find eight cheap baby dolls and tie them to a rope and make up a big MediCal check and go as Octomom.

I had an early Halloween party this past weekend, and my zombie Billy Mays costume was quite well-received. If you can sprout enough of a beard to fill in with black makeup, and don't mind being in questionable taste, I highly recommend the costume.

Luckily you were able to pull that one off early. With all the notable celeb deaths this year, I'm guessing those costumes will be everywhere.

Kind of like a couple years ago when everyone thought they'd be clever by dressing up as Samberg and Timberlake from the SNL sketch, "Dick in box". Those were all over at the party I was at.

Haven't dressed up in awhile, but my last few were:

Mike Ditka (80s Bears sweater from ebay, clipboard, fake mustache)

Mark Chmura (Chmura jersey and a bath towel)

Rick Vaughn (late 80s Indians jersey from ebay, custom felt lettering glued on, zig-zag pattern shaved on the back of my head)

One day, I'm going to dress up as Chewbacca if he played for the Brewers. One day.

Im getting married on Halloween so I will be in a tux and the soon-tobe misses will be in a dress. The rest of our bridal party and majority of guests will be in costume. My little brother (a groomemen) ordered this mask. He'll probably scare the tar out of the little kids.

Holy banana sandwiches! $500.00 for a mask?!?!?

I haven't bought a rubber mask since I was a kid, some 20 years ago. Have they really become that expensive?? Or is it because it's a silicone mask? Wow, I had no idea masks were that expensive now a days.

Yes, all Halloween masks are $500+...prices have gone up some in the past few years. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

There's no way I'd ever spend that much on a mask, but it'd be interesting to see it since it fits to your face and matches your facial expressions.

Yeah, the masks have gotten expensive! I havent seen it on him in person, but he sent me a video of him wearing it and it is awesome! It totally fits his face perfectly. But the company that made his mask has done masks for some horror films although I dont fully recall which ones.

I love both of those ideas! How much does a Bears sweater-vest go for on ebay? I desperately wanted to go as Plaxico Burress by wearing his jersey and and a pair of sweatpants, but I couldn't find a jersey of his that was cheap enough to justify the purchase. I hope that it will still be funny next year.
