Very cool. I printed off the templates the other day and will be carving pumpkins tomorrow. I'll post pictures if they turn out http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

My pumpkins are never anything special.

I'm all about cooking/eating the seeds.

very well done, but what do you have burning inside that is so gosh darn bright? It looks like the entire inside of the pumpkin is on fire like in Hades or something.

edit: ah, also, isn't it a bit early to be carving them? Two weeks to go; they'd be mush here on the 31st if I did it this early.

Pitch, I carved mine last week and the cool weather has kept them in fine condition. Mine don't burn super bright, I put a few tea candles in them each night.

My only enemy is the squirrels who like to nibble them.

There's only one tea light in it, but I took the picture in complete darkness with my iphone. It doesn't handle light/dark very well. We live in an apartment, so we're not even displaying the pumpkin outside - just felt like carving them. But as burnie said, it's cold enough here that they'll last if kept outside.

I sat there and hand carved my pumpkin, only to find out there's a free cutout online? Dang it.

No Brewers logos, but fun anyways. All 3 grandchildren came over and we did the pumpkins together. We helped a little, but they did most of the work themselves.

this is our Pumpkin family from last year. We always do something "corny" like this and get lots of compliments from people.

We'll do this year's probably next Friday night and then I'll post them.

We decided to do 3 more pumpkins today.

The first one I did to satisfy my nerd genes.

This second one we did together. Satisfied our love of baseball. I hope I'm not sued.

This one my SO did. She did a great job of reminding everyone of her favorite player.

This is our family 4 pack. Two for my 3 y/o (alien and silly face), a "BOO" ghost from my wife and a Macaulay Culkin pose for mine.

I'm not sure about all these pictures, but I've never been a fan of the pumpkin "design" kits that are out there. It just makes the pumpkin carving too easy.

I guess I'm old school. I usually plan out what I want on a small scrap of paper and I start cutting. I'd love to use the back of a round-headed kid's head for a model, though.

I tried a kit once. You tape the picture the pumpkin, poke holes through the paper and into the pumpkin, and then carve it up in a dot-to-dot pattern. I just don't get the fun in that.

Does everyone need to be so crititcal about everything around here? Sheesh, yeah, we used a kit for 3 of our 4 pumpkins but what makes that less fun? It is a family activity and the pumpkins still don't carve themselves...
