I know I am different than most but I have never and will never wear a hat backwards as I feel it causes a lack of respect to them the team. I know that many MLB players do it but no matter what level of ball I played at would I ever wear a backwards hat. That is just me though, I also will not wear a gimmick not gameworn hat.

I love that picture.

I also don't wear hats backwards, or perched to the side, or with tags or stickers still on them, or with a flat bill. . .not because of any disrespect, but just because it looks foolish on any head, let alone my 47 year old head.

And while I used to prefer the wool gamers, they don't feel as comfortable as the soft crown cotton ones.

I haven't tried the newer synthetic types that the Cubs dolt is wearing.

I never used to wear my hats backwards, but now I do at times.

It started when I bought my first fitted Brewers hat. I made the now laughable mistake of buying it when my hair was longer, and I then got a haircut a couple days later. I looked just plain goofy with a hat that was too big, but I wasn't about to stop wearing it. So, I started wearing it backwards because it didn't make me look like a 5-year-old wearing daddy's ball cap. After that, it kind of developed into a habit that I'm just now starting to break.

My new favorite hat is the current batting practice hat, which I love. It stretches if I have too much hair.

i've got no issue with wearing a cap backward, which i'll do on rare occasions.

my annoyance is when guys wear their caps indoors.

Then you would be annoyed with me. I wear my hat indoors and I never understood why that is so taboo to some. If I was entirely bald (I am balding) or had a buzz cut, I would have not problem taking it off. However, I tend to get very bad cases of hat hair. So, it's either never wear a hat (not an option for me - sun burn being one reason), or wear a hat all the time (outdoors and indoors), or shave my head (sorry, not going to do that either).

I don't usually wear my hat indoors, if I do it's just resting on top of my head. I think it's more of a military thing, getting used to taking my hat off as soon as I enter a building and putting it on as soon as I get out.

I wear a hat all the time. The only time I wear my hat backwards is when I'm batting in softball and that's only because it bothers me when I'm looking at high pitches. I'll wear my hat indoors as well however I never wear it when I'm eating.

I'm like jason21nl, I almost always wear a hat. The only times I don't wear a hat are times when it is not appropriate. Like at work, church, functions where you dress up, but other then that I wear a hat most days. I to wear a hat backwards from time to time. Not too often. What a can't stand are hats that the brim is totally straight, that looks dumb, IMO. I actually bought one of those "perfect curve" things from Lids for my new hats.

I play ultimate frisbee, and I wear my hat backwards... the bill gets in my way of seeing the disc -- I've taught myself over the years, that my eyes can move a lot faster than my whole head when I need to make a quick glance.

Why do I wear a hat at all? My head sweats, and sweat in my eyes hurts. The hat keeps that out.

Plus, the other option... I'd look like this guy:

I guess you have a reason, but nothing makes me chuckle like seeing a bunch of clowns at a summer softball tournament all geared up...and wearing their hats backwards.

1. The sun is bright. Use the bill.

2. It's freaking hot. If you aren't going to use the bill, lose the hat.

3. It's a softball game, not a fashion show. You can be "hip" afterwards.

I'm also a big fan (sarcasm) of the guys who stroll in wearing the backwards hat with the shades turned backwards as well.

You would hate me then. I always wear a hat in softball, especially if it is hot. Keeps the sun off my balding head, absorbs the sweat, etc. I even wear it backwards at times because as mentioned I don't like the bill in the way when looking up at high pitches, and flipping it around gives a new spot to absorb some sweat from my forehead and lets air behind my sunglasses so they don't literally steam up from sweat.

I'll never understand why how someone wears a hat bothers so many people. I remember the complaints and aghast curmudgeons when Griffey, Jr. started wearing his hat backwards in BP and in interviews. Or Jeff Bennet's straight bill or Cameron/Pierre/Sabathia's slightly turned hats or Manny's long pants, etc.

I think more people should go with the folded brim, personally.

I like my brim non folded. I can see far better that way and I am a perfectionist when it comes to my hats so I don't like bending them because I am constantly bending them to get it perfect which it never is so I just leave them alone now.
