I have the day off (not because of the anniversary), am rocking my playoff hoodie today and expect to watch a very special Brewers game on DVD this afternoon or evening.

September 23-October 5 was possibly the best fortnight ever.

I'll never forget September 28th, 2008.

I havent felt that excited since the packers last went to the super bowl. It was truly an amazing thing, I actually still have the Journal-Sentienels that covered the playoff games to cherrish and to show off in the future.

That whole experience was just so unbelievable. I am so thankful for that whole season and that magical Sunday which I will NEVER forget. I never get bored of watching youtube clips from that game and the celebration in the stands. In fact, my iPod is full of so much video, audio, and photos from that game alone. I still feel the rush even today.

Same here, the only time I felt like that was when the Packers won Super Bowl 31. And I also kept all the JS papers.

Maybe I will throw in the DVD tonight and watch the season recap and some of game 162.

It's been a year now, and I still marvel at the facts that (1) that crazy regular-season ending homestand turned out the way it did, and (2) I was able to see so much of it in person.

I spent a quarter century imagining what it would be like, and reality lived up to my imagination.

This game was the best I'd ever been to - and I was at the 5th game of the World Series back in '82. The electricity, the excitement. It was unbelievable. I got to go with my 10 year old son, and we still have the blue and gold confetti they dropped. It's a great memory.

The best part was that our friends - who are Cub fans - gave us the tickets. They said, "This means way more to you than us." So not all Cub fans are jerks!

Greatest week in my life. Was at both the last 2 regular season games and didnt want to go home Sunday night. The ushers basically herded me out. Playoff baseball for the first time since I was 9. Married on Saturday and at game 4 with my lovely wife on Sunday having won the lottery for the LDS. Then off to Hawaii early Monday morning for 2 weeks of sun and relaxation.

I saw the thread title and thought someone was wishing me an happy anniversary http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I still have game 162 on my DVR, I go back and watch the ending every once in a while. I still remember that day vividly. I had to work so I had Uecker on the radio, the Marlins-Mets Gameday up on my computer, and I spent more time lurking on BrewerFan than doing work during the last few innings of both games, lol. Looking back on those threads brings all of the memories right back. I only hope that 2010 brings more fond memories such as those to remember.
