Pick your opening day roster contest

Pick your 2010 opening day Milwaukee Brewers 25 man roster, and rank them on how sure you are of your pick.

-Points will be awarded for each pick you get right and how they are ranked by you.

-25 points if you get your 1^st pick right, 24 for 2^nd, 23 for 3^rd, all the way down.

-Points will still be awarded if your pick is on the 15 day DL.

-10 bonus points each on picking if Macha is back and if Melvin is back.

-15 bonus points if you have a player right that is not currently in the organization and you have them ranked in your top 10, 10 bonus points if you have them ranked 11-25.

-I will give some shirts or something to the winner, maybe top 3 or 5 even, don't really know yet, do people want to kick in other prizes?

-All contest entries must be posted by the last pitch of the October 4^th game vs. the Cardinals.

-Contest ends at noon April 5^th 2010 with the roster as posted on www.brewers.com

Does this all make sense? Sound like a good contest?

it seems awfully early to do a contest like this. The roster could be completely different on October 1st, December 1st, February 1st, and April 1st.

 

Does your contest make sense? Sure it does. But the winner is likely going to have only the core guys and some of the current backups and then total and complete lucky-picks of free-agent acquisitions, rule V picks, etc.

 

This contest would make more sense to have a deadline for entry of December 1st (prior to the Winter Meetings) or just as free-agency opens.

Given how almost everything could change, that is why I am having it so early. I want the wild picks to be the important ones, not everyone having the same 1-20 and filling in the rest.
