Computer People - IP Address Help

my house was broken into over the weekend. a laptop was stolen, among other things.

 

i have log me in on the laptop. i have an IP address that was used to access the computer at least 3 times since it was stolen...same address each time.

 

all i have been able to determine from my limited computer knowledge is that the IP address is an AT&T address from Milwaukee.

 

is there anything else i can do to determine where this computer is? MPD seems to be occupied with other things to call me back about this.

The police department can get a subpoena and then compel AT&T to give you the user and location of where that person logged in from at that specific time and date.

 

You won't be able to access that yourself.

that is what i thought, but nobody in MPD wants to call me back
