One more start for Yo

Also, Doug Melvin bobble

Why not win? and that

No lineups as of almost 10:00, and we have to get on the road soon. I hope at least one of you takes your eyes off the Packers long enough to post here today. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Well, I enjoyed the game. Barely 30,000 fans "paid to see it" and around us there seemed to be more interest in the Packer game than anything else.

Still, there were people (besides the S.O. and me) who kept count of Yovani's Ks (even if his milestone K was vs. the pitcher) and Prince's walk. When the 200th K was recorded, I did wonder if anyone here would be posting to taking Yo out of the game.

I found it mildly gratifying that Robb Edwards apparently heeded my suggestion of earlier this month, that he never again introduce Corey Patterson in the same enthusiastic way that he introduces Corey Hart. I'm glad the game was reasonably in hand by the time C-Pat was caught stealing, else I would have felt worse being happy about the out.

Today's game will be a 'happy place' for me to visit, should the Brewers get their shirts handed to them by the Phillies next Saturday and/or Sunday.

As someone who gets tickets to all the bobblehead days, this wasn't a bad one to go out on.

- Gallardo's last start, plus the chance to applaud him coming off the field after his 200 and 201st strikeout.

- A shutout win.

- Prince being honored before the game for the RBI record, with Coop coming out of the Houston dugout to congratulate him.

- A titanic bomb (455') of a homer by the big man.

Had the Packer game in one ear for most of the game....and I could see a replay of any of the big plays, since my family could see into the press box from our seats. It felt good to know I was watching the right game.

People on my right kept looking in my direction during the game. After a few double takes I realized they were looking past me at the press box TVs, which were showing the Packers. So, bjkrautk, how close to 217 do you sit? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Not a season ticket holder, so my family jumps from area to area with each individual game. We were in 215 yesterday, 19 rows up. The TV with the Packer game on was on the other side of the aisle; close enough to see all the players and even jersey numbers, but not close enough to see the score.
