Heritage Auctions--1976 Brewers Uniforms

JimH5

There are two lots on the Heritage Auctions site that end in a couple weeks of several 1976 home jerseys and pants.

I don't think I'm up for going alone on either lot, but if someone is looking for a partner to bid on the lots, or if someone wants to buy and sell off individual uniforms, I'd be interested in partnering up.

In the end, I'm really only interested in getting one. . .so I'm not sure that I'm up for doing the work to buy the whole group and sell off the others. . .

Let me know if anyone wants to go together on this.

Wow. . .that's a great catch, BSC. . .

Baseball-reference.com says Pinson was signed by the Brewers on January 14 of 1976, and released on April 4, 1976.

Those would have to be Spring Training unis. . .and if so, I'm uninterested in getting one.

FYI--I did email Heritage with the question if these were from Spring Training, and the response that I got back was that they were.

I responded with a question if they would be updating the catalog description to reflect that these were Spring Training uniforms and not Regular Season.

I didn't get a response to that question, and notice that they have not edited the lot page to indicate that they were Spring Training.

To their credit, their own glossary on their site says that they use the term "Game Used" to indicate that something was used in a game. So maybe that covers them and authenticator Lou Lampson.

Anyway, the price is still very cheap on each lot ($600 as I write this). As I would expect the buyer to be a Brewers fan, I wanted to pass this info on to potential bidders from our community.

Heritage is reputable, and they have good stuff, but I would have expected a more accurate description of these items.
