The Office Season 6

I found yesterday's Office to be a bit underwhelming, but seeing Oscar dressed up as Sarah Palin in the cold open can make up for anything. (Also Ryan saying to Creed dressed up as a campy 1950s vampire "that's not the trend in vampires right now" was gold.)

On the whole, I thought last night's Parks & Rec episode was better than the Office. I'm guessing most people have given up on that show like I had after season 1, but they've been the highlight of NBC's Thursday night block several times this season. Last night's was again their best show. Might be worth a second chance to some people.

I'll second you're view on Parks and Recreation. It's by far the show I look forward to on Thursday. The characters are really developing. The supporting characters of Ron, Andy and Jerry are all keepers. I don't know if anyone else is really watching this show. It seems NBC has put its promotional weight behind Community - which I have not developed a taste.

Parks and Rec has definitely picked up. I think I've watched the last 3 episodes, and have come away pretty impressed. Last night, I only saw a few mintues of it, but I'll catch it on hulu.

Godspeed: I agree that The Office was a disappointment. The cold open gave me high expectations (Michael was D*ick in a Box LOL), but overall I thought the episode was a dud. OTOH, Erin (developing a huge crush on her) and Kelly's music video is excellent. I highly recommend going to the office website and watching it.

Community was excellent last night. I'm very glad it has been picked up for a full season.

I liked Toby demonstrating to Pam how to properly get enough power behind her punch with Michael looking on in the backround.

It bugs me a little how critical some are becoming towards this show, but I guess I have the same attitude towards "24" which I find to be very over the top and not true to it's "real time" gimmick. My wife and son get annoyed with me when we are watching and I'm sitting there rolling my eyes.

I think some are critical just because the bar got set so high on the show, relatively early. Personally I like that Jim & Pam finally got married and that they've advanced a lot of the other plots, rather than having things drag out indefinitely.

I do wonder if Michael's mention of Holly last night means they might somehow get back together eventually.

it really doesn't bug me. The show is probably the best on TV and the expectations are very high for each episode. Last nights episode was better than just about anything on TV, but wasn't one of their greatest efforts.

Enjoyed the episode after last week's sub-par effort.

How about Ryan's Office Exposed collection? The look on Erin's face was priceless.

Andy's talking head about RSVP'in, returning favors, etc was very funny. Toby's scene was good stuff as well.

Did anyone watch the Subtle Sexuality music video on The Office's website yet? I recommended it last week, but I was the last post of the week so maybe people missed it.

Lunch segment was gold. Only Michael could simultaneously a) figure out her age b) realize he wasn't interested in her anymore and c) "gracefully" trying to get out of the relationship. That was really good. I didn't think the "favors" bit was funny at all, but that's just me.

I just about died the three seconds Creed was on screen. Other than that.....the most I can say is that Erin is nice to look at.

The last part (with them pointing "weapons" at each other) would have been funnier if Creed walked in, took a quick look, and then walked out again , or maybe just poked his head in and said "leaving now, boss".

So we didn't find out by the end if Dunder-Mifflin was going bankrupt? Eh, other than that, I thought the show was great again. I guess I'm an easy to please Office fan, though.

David Wallace said towards the end on the phone with Jim "The company wont make it through the end of this year"

So yeah, most likely a bankruptcy filing.

I think Creed has had some legendary lines throughout the series, but between his scene this week, and his line of "Who's your worm guy?" a couple of episodes ago, I think the writers have really run out of ideas for his character. His lines/scenes have become really predictable.
