The Office Season 6

"R is among the most menacing of sounds. That's why it's murrrder and not mukduk."

"I will have a spaghetti and a side salad and if the salad is on top i will send it back"

I agree with homer, there were a couple of laugh out loud moments, but had a very far fetched story line.

I liked Kevin's line to Oscar about "Really Really liking prison"
Oh man, I forgot about that. It was great. Also Kevin saying he started going into Jim's office to fart but he liked it so much he kpet going back. And how he got a "Kevin Malone" name plate on the desk and his jar of M&M's.

I totally forgot about that R quote! I liked Andy masquerading as an auto mechanic:

"Sorry, long day at the mechanics .... store"

"Yep, you got a leaking spark tube, car's totaled."

Also, Kevin camping out in Jim's office, doing situps, making it his ... thought that was gold. The credit card thing was icing.

All in all, lots of little things, felt like a Season 2 episode. I probably laughed out loud 5-8 times, which would easily double any episode in the last two years. Surprised to see anyone say otherwise.

Then we obviously have very different tastes because the whole mechanic thing reminded me of something they'd do on Mama's Family.

FUNDAMENTAL

Yeah, that was pretty good. I loved how Toby started to walk out before Michael even told him to.

I don't know why people are upset that this episode didn't seem realistic. This show has been very unrealistic since the 4th season. I've finally just accepted that, and started to enjoy the show again.

Also thought Michael asking for gabagool was hilarious.

It was a pretty good episode, in a pass/fail grading system I would give it a pass. I do agree the insurance salesman/mafia thing was pretty stupid and contrived. Sure, 90% of what they do on the show is unrealsitic. But even at that, there are certain things like this where I just cringe. It wreaks of a bunch of writers coming up with a concept and trying ram it together without realizing it doesn't quite fit the show.

By the way, another stellar episode of Modern Family!

Just remembered the scene where Michael is talking to Oscar in the break room, trying to find out if there's anyway around his insurance purchase, and he quietly asks "cash for clunkers, maybe?"

There were just so many great lines this week.

Maybe it was just me, but I thought last night's episode was one of the better ones in a long time (and I love the show every week regardless). Pam went into unlikeable mode while Michael became a bit more sympathetic (at least at certain points). Had me in stitches throughout.

I agree Invader. I thought it was funny. Pam seemed a bit over the top, but if my annoying, socially awkward boss was sleeping with my mom, I probably would freak out too. Dwight and the mallard was pretty funny. Interesting to see where things go.

Pam had to do some acting last night. Normally, Jim and Pam spend a half an our with an acting range between mildly amused and mildy annoyed.

I laughed really loud when Creed started crying while Jim blasted the opera music.

The part I enjoyed the most during the scene with an insubordinate Pam was Stanley in the background. He was pumping his fist, while smiling like I've never seen him before. Pretty hilarious. Also, the scene with Creed nearly coming to tears was classic. He doesn't even have to speak to have the funniest part of the show.

I thought they whiffed on a golden opportunity for hijinx and shenanigans with the listening device in Jim's office. Jim coulda messed with Dwight in ways that were 1,000 times funnier than was executed. They dropped the ball.

My favorite part was when Michael defended his dating situation to Jim by saying something like, "But it's working out really good for me. She's right on my way home from work." Ha!

I think the writers chose to use the whole duck (Dwight: Mallard!) thing the way they did instead of hijinx and shenanigans is two-fold. (a) Jim is a boss now and is trying to be a little more "above" doing that. (b) Jim was already having a bad enough day with Michael's announcement at lunch, on his first day back in the office.

I agree that the old Jim character would have had a field day with it. I like how they seem to be "changing" Jim's character a bit this season.

That was awesome. The best thing about that line (and where they've strayed, IMO) is that if you aren't listening you miss it. It's almost like a throw away. To me, those are moments are when they are at their best on that show: the quick one liners, quick cuts to a reaction or person (Creed crying), etc. The drawn out schtick is not all that funny.

"So take a different way man!"

Loved the episode, better then last weeks and right on track with the wedding episode. The look on Stanley's face when Michael said he was sensual was very funny to me as well. Also when Jim asked Michael what kind of car she drove and Michael knew it and explained how far down the seats go.

It still cracks me up the way Dwight reacts to some of Michael's shenanigans. At the very beginning of the show when Michael comes out in his blind character, I just loved the huge smile on Dwight's face, along with his fist pump and "YEA!" But I agree, there are little things throughout each episode that make the show. I always miss some of those things the first time I watch, so I always make sure to watch each episode twice.

Yeah, a second watch is a must. They are funny the first time, but that second time you catch little things that are hilarious. I know a lot of critics and fans think they peaked in season 2 and 3 on the show but now in season 6 I still find it to be hilarious and my favorite show. And it is probably right there with Seinfeld as my favorite show of all time.
