The Office Season 6

BrewCrewForever
OK, I watched it again on the DVR...and I admit as I watched it live I was getting some work done at the same time. After watching it again definitely enjoyed it a lot more...still wish they went a different way with the ending...the boat marriage idea was fine, but still not a fan of using the youtube video as material, even though I realize that it was because Michael and the brothers were behind it. I will say though that some of the dances down the aisle were pretty good...Andy, Dwight, Oscar, Kevin, Bob Vance. Pretty good but still not up there with some of the earlier episodes from a few seasons ago.

I enjoyed the wedding episode quite a bit. Like others I don't anticipate The Office as much as I did during the first three seasons and frankly had to be reminded last night was the wedding episode. Still an extremely rich cast that has the ability to really act when given the opportunity. My favorite line of the night was Jim's "does becoming a manager make you say the wrong things?"

Also I agree on Parks and Recreation. This show has improved markedly since the first mini-season. Last night was a very good episode and introduced me to the term "wiz palace". Maybe I don't hang with the cool crowd but that was a new one for me and the time and way it was delivered was unbelievably funny. I hope this show keeps picking up, we'll need a new show to take over for The Office after next year.

I thought the episode was cute at the end but not all that funny, glad it's finally over with though! I'll admit at the end I got confused at the end as well with Jim and Pam on the boat and the dancing going on the church hall. I had to read the wikipedia entry for the episode to confirm what I thought was going on.

Wonder whats next in store for the office. The Pam and Jim was the main focus for all 6 seasons it seems!

I thought that was the best episode of the season last night. It got REALLY awkward during the toasting scene and reminded me of the British version. Really great episode. I missed the new Community but I will agree that each episode has been better than the previous one.

Opening vomit scene with Creed just eating his noodles like nothing was amiss.

Yes. My wife hates anything and everything vomit, so I had to give here a play-by-play of this scene to keep here up to speed. Even Dwight was in near-hysterics. Creed's non-reaction just made the scene.

She said she's 5 months along in yesterday's episode, which puts the due date conveniently in February sweeps season. (It is accurate though seeing that they found out in May, so I guess it's not that convenient.)

I thought the wedding episode was one of the funniest in a long time. In fact, I decide as soon as I'm done watching each episode if I'm going to erase it immediately, or save to watch again. This is the first one this season I saved.

I think I'm done with Community. I've seen every episode so far, and it just doesn't "do it" for me. I don't think it's horrible, just something I'm not going to make sure to see.

Modern Family is definitely a keeper.

I thought the wedding episode was great. Andy doing the robot and Dwight hooking up with Pam's best friend was outstanding. I really like that Jim is losing his Mr. Perfect luster he had for a while and getting knocked down a peg or too. It makes for great comedy.

Also I have to agree I was really not sold on Parks and Rec, however I am enjoying it more than ever. It seems to really be coming into it own.

like usual creed and kevin made the episode. One of the laugh out moments for me was creed grabbing his crotch while walking down the aisle as well as kevin in his toupee and kleenex boxes as shoes. This is one of the episodes that you have to watch 2-3 times to fully appreciate it.

Wow, am I the only one who didn't like it? I found the Kleenex boxes quite unfunny, and nothing else really sticks out as hilarious. The full soda cans was kind of funny and the Oscar/Kevin partner thing, but Dwight's storyline wasn't funny, Michael wasn't really that funny, Jim didn't do anything funny, I already said Kevin's storyline wasn't funny to me...

I think there was a full half hour block in there that I didn't laugh once.

And what's weird is I have found just about every prior episode funny, even when consensus here was that it was a dud. I'm opposite everyone else.

i think because the humor on the show is very dry, its not going to click with everyone and thats why every week there is a mix bag review on this website every friday after a new episode. There has been episodes in the past that i did not find funny that was raved about too.

I was pretty lukewarm on the wedding episode, although I enjoyed it more than most of the recent episodes. Tonight's episode, on the other hand, was a total gem and a classic. Funniest episode in years. The writing was actually creative and funny instead of phoned in.

I thought tonight's was completely lame. A couple laugh out loud moments but way too far fetched.

And this time I'm on homer's side. It was a let down from last week, for me. I laughed out loud a couple of times but that was it. Was the story good? Sure. It just didn't make me laugh as much as last week.

Like somebody above stated, it fluctuates every episode and you have to be in the right mind to "get" the type of humor offered in each episode. I kind of went in to tonight's episode and expected to be let down compared to last week and it "self-fulfilled" a bit for me. I'll try to re-watch it tomorrow night after a few (many?) beers and it might "do it" for me at that time.
