This is way cool. You can do a search on a site and see what it looked like way back when.

Here's Brewerfan.net back in 2002:

ESPN back in 1998:

www.whitehouse.gov had some pretty sweet animated gifs in 2000.
Those flags were strangely irresistible, one may show up as my avatar at some point.

Check out mlb.com prior to 2001. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
Wow. That domain probably sold for a pretty penny.

According to this archived page, I was one of 11 members (and 10 guests) in the forum on or about August 9, 2003.

Clancy is everywhere... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/ohwell.gif too bad that 950 OPS LH catcher never came about...

This is pretty cool. Although, I was hoping it would take Brewerfan back to when it was a brown colored web page and had absolutely no resemblance to how it looks today.

Edit: Now that I think of it, I'm probably thinking of the fan forum that was on the old official Brewers web site. However, can't seem to access that forum through the wayback machine.

This is great! I was able to retrieve a site that no longer exists. (feverdreams.net - It's different views on the interpretations of Steely Dan songs, in case there are any SD fans out there)

Awesome site. I was able to track down an old Brewer site me and a buddy of mine tried to make in 2001. Obviously, our computer skills left something to be desired, and we never really got very far with it before Homestead wanted to make us pay to keep the site going. It's good for a laugh though.

When I saw this topic, the first thing I thought of was Rocky and Bullwinkle. Not surprisingly, as its FAQ says, the site gets its name from Mr. Peabody's WABAC machine:

http://susanwiggs.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/wayback-machine2.jpg

We've seen pictures of the "old look" on the main site and the message board. The current look was brought in late in 2004.

Here's what the message board looked like at that point; it had black links, a sidebar, and a set 800 pixel width: Brewerfan.net Fan Forum: 2004-12-07.

Not long after that, the sidebar was removed: Brewerfan.net Fan Forum: 2005-02-15.

And soon after the sidebar was removed, the links became brick red: Brewerfan.net Fan Forum: 2005-03-29.

The last big "look and feel" change on the board came with the move to Yuku on August 1, 2007. Besides all of the Yuku toys, the most notable design change was the use of a flexible width rather than the set 800 pixel width. I didn't include a Yuku link: they're archived, but the CSS doesn't load, so they don't look "right."

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.
