Back in the big leagues and back in the lineup. That's the deal for J.J. Hardy as he starts for the Brewers tonight at short in the series opener against St. Louis.

 

We don't get to talk to manager Ken Macha until later so I'm not sure what the plan is at short for Hardy and rookie Alcides Escobar. But, in his first game back from a 20-day stay with Class AAA Nashville, Hardy gets the start.

 

The Brewers' lineup:

The sweep of the Pirates coinciding with the Giants sweeping the Rockies definitely helped. Here's to hoping we can muster more posts in this IGT than in some of the Pirate IGTs.

 

Tough match-up tonight against Piniero, who's been on fire lately. For some reason, though, I have a feeling the team will hold it's own this month.

Prince was ineligible for a 1st inning 3-run shot so Casey had to step in....Great job to give Looper a lead before he pitches.

 

Can't say,though, I completely understand JJ in the lineup, but I don't know all the details either

Say what you want, but Casey McGehee has had a pretty nice year for the crew. That was a great shot after the non-intentional walk to Prince.

 

I am sad that JJ got the start. Not cool by Macha......

 

Did I see today Kendall hitting .247? Amazing........god he is hitting 18 points higher to start today than Hardy. Man, now I really hope JJ has a big last month!
