Very nice job by the bullpen keeping the Bucs off the board after Manny left. Keep winning as many as possible and see where it leaves you after the season...it'd be nice to at least beat the Cubs for 2nd.

Manny was shaky, but the offense comes through once again. No doubt, if this team had any pitching at all outside of Gallardo, Coffey and Hoffman they would be right in the race with the Cardinals.

This was the first "Sunday Plus" 20 pack game that the Brewers won since June 26. June 26! I am delighted that they hung on, and the on-field results didn't mar our beautiful Sunday Plus seats.

 

I also sort of called the Prince home run. I said aloud during his at-bat, "Prince, are you really satisfied with just 35 home runs?" It's nice when they listen to me. They should listen more often.

There was an article on espn.com the other day predicting this season's awards. I had assumed that Pujols would walk away with NL MVP, and they didn't even debate that, but what shocked me was they didn't even list Prince when they listed "apologies to" players. How Prince doesn't come in second in NL MVP is beyond me.

I could see Hanley Ramirez being in the discussion (batting .366 with a 1.000 OPS), but Prince should be talked about, too. If the Brewers were doing better I bet he'd get some more attention.
