Oh boy, not another former Brewer.

I do like the fact that we're getting a Bush/Rivera reunion, though. Hopefully the guys can get back to .500 at home and make it a happy afternoon for everyone here, because day game losses really stink up the rest of the day.

Oh, Dave Bush, I've missed you. Please be adequate today; it's a cruddy day at work and I could use a happy distraction.

(Edit: I've even missed your obsessive cleaning up of the rubber on the mound between batters, if not pitches.)

I admit, I had no idea Justin Lehr was starting for CIN until it was mentioned on last night's radio broadcast that he's starting today.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I'm watching MLB.TV on mute so I can't tell what Brian and Bill are saying about it, but apparently the "mandatory stretching session" this morning was an excuse to do some summer camp-type icebreaking activities?

Hey, whatever helps you score 4 first inning runs, I guess. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Edit: Nice piece of hitting by Lopez, but not good to see him doubling over in pain and lifting that foot once he got to second. It'll be interesting to see if he can stay in.

I've become a huge Lopez fan ever since they've fallen out of playoff contention. Each double puts the crew closer to Type A compensation. I doubt he'd turn down arbitration at this point. That would be great two get those two picks.

I'm a bit torn on the Lopez compensation. It'd be great to get two comp picks instead of one for him, but at the same time, Lopez becoming a Type A might get him the Orlando Hudson/Juan Cruz treatment on the open market and he could end up having trouble finding work. If he does end up being a Type A, I'd be surprised if anyone who doesn't have their first rounder protected makes a run at him. Still, a second and a sandwich pick is probably better than just a sandwich pick.

Oh, I have a feeling Dayton Moore just won't be able to resist signing another mediocre type A. I mean seriously, Juan Cruz?

Am I the only one who laughed at Jerry Garcia making Escargot for a tailgate tip?
Nope.....I laughed out loud as well. And I thought lobster at a tailgate was a little over-doing it!
Come on people, don't you make escargot and lobster at MP. I shouldn't talk too much, at my sister's B-Day game, people brought rather expensive wine and crystal glasses for the pregame celebration. Note: I stuck with beer; not that there's anything wrong with wine.

Bushie was sooo close to making it out the 5th unscathed. Darn

Maybe he's just auditioning for the next season of Top Chef.

Been hearing that a lot this year.

"What's happened to this game?"

So many times, if you drill down and want to get really frustrated, it starts with a two out bases empty walk. This time it was to the pitcher, Justin Lehr. Fabulous team this year.
