The new cast has been released for the next season of the duel, which I believe should be the 4th major sport. I'm completely digging the cast. Kenny and Johnny Bananas back together again. Ev making her return after making the deal with the devil on The Island. Evan back as the top dog, but how will he get along with Johnny when they both want to run things? Brad back once again, trying to break his own record for most lost reality shows. The Sydney love triangle is in there with Cohutta, Dunbar and Kelly Anne.

I look forward to the Challenges. They're the only shows I watch on MTV anymore since I went cold turkey on all Laguna Beach spinoffs.

I'm a big Derrick fan. Glad to see he's back on this one. Evan's a big tool but always entertaining. Some of the Real World people I'm not familiar with. Denver was the last one I watched. I don't see Big Easy on this one. I liked that he represented all us fatsos.

Nothing is more scripted than unscripted reality tv. I'm not saying, I'm just saying. To each their own I guess.

The best shows on MTV are the ones where the parents try to set up their kids. The acting is hilariously bad.

The RW/RR Challenges are probably my biggest guilty pleasure on TV. It's the only reality show I've ever really watched, and I'm not really sure why. Maybe it's more interesting to have seen many of the participants before and know stuff about them, as opposed to most of the other shows where you no idea who the people are.

 

I agree it is scripted and edited a ridiculous amount, but it's still decent fluff entertainment in my book. All of the other stuff MTV puts on the air passed me by long ago...

Im "only" 31, but I went so far as to delete MTV from my TV channel listing so I dont have to see it any more.

Honestly, another thread where the only people posting are talking about how they don't care at all about the topic. Those Duels are hilarious "car crash" television where the cast members don't seem to realize how much they are embarassing themselves and their families.

 

Oh but wait, that channel doesn't play videos anymore so I don't care about it. Because I love music videos.
