Rogers is just getting destroyed in the 3rd inning. Bad.

His fastball has been 91-94 with about 5-6'' of break. High 80's slider with about 6'' of break and a high 70's curve with about 12'' of break.

Edit: Rogers got pulled after allowing two 2-run bombs, 5 hits, and a walk. He got one guy out (on a line out). Woot coming in. Not looking good for the Javelinas. Wooten sitting 86-88 with his 4-seamer with 6-8'' of break, high 70's on his slider with 11'' of break, and 84-85 on the splitter with 9'' of break. Wooten limits the damage getting a K and flyout.

Edit 2: Oh man, Lucroy must've just missed a grand salami! He had bases loaded, no outs, and drove one to left. Gameday had it being caught at the wall by Ryan Kalish. Still got a RBI. I wonder if Kalish made a diving/leaping play because all of the runners advanced on the play. Green, leading off the inning, singled and scored on a bases loaded walk.

Eventful top of the 4th for Wooten. Got David Cooper to FO with one pitch. Kalish singled (I like this guy a lot) and Matt Dominguez reached on a Taylor Green error at third. Now, with men at 1st and 3rd, Robby Woot got Casey Kelly to ground into a double play with Green starting it. Way to pick the pitcher and yourself up Taylor! Those are some pretty big names that Woot had to get through in that inning. Every single one of those guys will see the majors soon.

Lorenzo Cain reached three times in the Javelina's 8-1 loss. Omar Aguilar hasn't distinguished himself, and 2010 will be his age 25 season. With options in 2010 and 2011 remaining, he'd likely be claimed if removed off the 40-man, but you'd have to think his spot, if needed, is tenuous given his early failings at AA last season.

The Javelinas are playing a night game this evening, with Cain batting leadoff, Lucroy in the 2-hole and Green hitting 5th as the DH. Mark Rogers has even pitched two scoreless innings! Maybe getting the night off Saturday helped...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif.

11/9 Box Score

11/9 Gameday

Rogers sat at 93 with his fastball, getting up to 95 and not dropping below 92. Given how quickly he got through his two innings of work, it seemed as though his stuff was working for him a lot better tonight than it has been.
