How Sheets could still help Brewers (Indirectly)

With Sheets seemingly not likely to pitch at all this season, he probably makes himself affordable to the Rangers to sign in the offseason. That is of course assuming he can pass a physical.

Should the Rangers add Sheets, they would have some interesting young starting pitching to use (Feldman, Hunter, Holland, McCarthy) to fill the OF spot that might open up if Marlon Byrd opts for FA.

Corey Hart might be a nice fit for them and the Brewers could certainly use one of those 4 young pitchers. Given McCarthy's injury history, I think I'd want a little more than him but the other guys are all worth considering.

Speaking of Byrd, he might not be a bad guy for Brewers to pursue if he does go FA.

Teaxas already has the OF to plug into Byrd's spot. Julio Borbon, a former 1st round draft pick drafted with one of the compensatory picks from Carlos Lee, will take over in CF, and they'll move Hamilton to LF to lessen his workload.
