What's With The Slacking On The Power 50?

My best guess is that its release is pretty close. I think waiting for any possible effects of the trade deadline might have delayed it a bit.

Once a year is really all you need to update that type of list...anything else is either a smallish sample or just bookkeeping (someone got dealt). BA does one list a year, and it seems to work fine.

i think a pre-season, mid-season and post season would be sufficient. The midseason one would take into account drafted players. I do think though that the pre and post season ones would see little influx, so maybe one or the other.

Screw that! Some of us look forward to the changes and opinions in these lists from month to month. C'mon! Don't take away our monthly power update! And, BTW....BA only does them once or twice a year because they have to cover the entire minor league system, not just one team.
