Yeah you are overreacting a bit. We probably are not gonna trade for anyone and we are probably not gonna trade anyone away. This will be the team we have the rest of the year. Baring injurys we will trot the same guys out everyday.

I agree with this. As much as I'd like to see them sell some pieces, it is awfully difficult to turn on a dime in the course of a week. I guess you could still see someone moved if they clear waivers. They wouldn't move Hoffman, that would be a PR nightmare. Cam has the most value, but my guess is they haven't decided on whether to bring him back or not. If selling guys off hurt ticket sales by 3-400k for next year, that's a free agent signing right there so it's not completely irrational to play to the fans even if it isn't the most rational baseball move.

Ok, so let me ask you all this....did bringing CC aboard last year not have a profound effect on the entire staff?? EVERYONE fed off of him and wanted to go out and throw their best every game. It was infectious. That lead to better starts from EVERYONE, not ot mention the lessor wear and tear it had on the bullpen. So to say one guy WON'T make a difference is bunk, it was proven last year that it did make a difference.

I don't think that word means what you think it means.

I'm not sure I'm onboard with sell mode, this team isn't anywhere near as bad as they've played lately. However the collapses with this core are getting old in a hurry... 4 straight years now with a horrific collapse. I wouldn't mind some meaningful changes in the off-season, and of course I'm always on board with trading for pitching.

edit. I used to wonder if Yost was the cause, riding em too hard, now I just believe that's who these guys are.

Another big difference from last year is that at the time they aquired CC, they were tied for the WC lead and 9 games over .500, plus it was about 3 weeks earlier, so CC was able to start about 4-5 more games than a pitcher aquired at the end of July would.

Thanks for the sympathy sarge, but as a lifelong Brewers fan...I've seen worse. At least losing to the Dodgers is respectable.

That's true. I feel your pain. I live in St. Louis and can't even stomach thinking about spending money on tickets to go to the remaining six games the Crew has here.

Nice to see the offense put up a bit of a fight and Manny settle down after his first couple innings...this one's not over yet, which is probably all I can ask for after the past couple nights. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

It's encouraging to see Parra hitting 96 on the FSN gun today, he's letting his fastball go again which is a major improvement.

Wait ... are you retroactively calling a game over before it ended. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Have fun sd. I've been meaning to get down to Petco, but haven't yet. The kids have me all booked up this weekend...thank goodness. What the heck guys, there are worse places to spend an evening even when the Crew is struggling. I have to think the LA fans are a little easier to deal with than the Cards fans sarge...that would be too much for me.

http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif I still had a small glimmer of hope for a Cleveland-style comeback in each of those games, but let's just say it's easier to feel optimistic about this one.
