Poor Andy LaRoche and Ryan Doumit must be feeling either lonely or angry at this point.

Andy LaRoche was a part of the Manny Ramirez/Jason Bay three-way deal last year, so I wouldn't count on him being moved for another few years. Doumit could easily be gone at next year's deadline if he can stay healthy and keeps putting up good offensive numbers, though.

 

Guys like Zach Duke and Matt Capps could still go in the next couple days, too, and if Tom Gorzelanny didn't forget how to pitch he'd likely be on the block this year too.

I like the moves they've made. The team's ceiling is mid-70's wins so why not completely retool. However, colby is spot on. Without a few special players like they have passed on in the draft they might be rebuilding another 75 win team. Taking a mid first round pick with the fourth pick in the draft to save some money is not following the model of the Rays or Brewers.
