Maybe I'm Crazy... but how about this

i guess maybe i'm a little optimistic about the ability of that lineup to produce runs.

TGJ and Graffy set a good table for...

Hart (20-25 HRs, Hall 30-40 HRs, and Jenkins 18-23 HRs)

Braun is a wild card in this lineup (10-30 HRs)

Koskie and Estrada make a solid 7 and 8 hitter.

I know Prince is going to be our key source of run production this season, but the

Plenty of holes in this lineup.

TGJ and Graf at the top could be a huge issue. Graf would be a solid 2 hitter, but he will not have someone on base in from of him.

I think the power numbers are a little high for what is listed, I think they lower ones would be actually high for all 3 of them.

Actually, tha trade would go a long way toward solving our outfield problem, as Corey Hart would probably become our first baseman. Then we would have Mench/Gross platoon one corner and Jenks in the other. Also, if we offered that much to TB, we could probably get Dukes, which would be quite enticing. That said, I am of the belief that Prince and Rickie are going to go for 400HR's in their careers apiece and I still think there is a flaw in Kazmir that necessitated the trade. His height cannot be THAT BIG a deal!

I would do Weeks for Peavy but no way do I trade Prince and JJ for Kazmir. Kazmir is sweet but Prince will break Hank Aaron's record (by 2009).
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

With that lineup, I could at least see one positive!

We'd have the # 1 pick in the amateur draft...probably for a few years.

I could see us being shut out perhaps 40 times, and finishing at 2003 Tigers territory if Sheets goes down yet again, and Peavy is circa 2006 vintage.

Hell, nobody likes trading away young and unproven for established stars, but migod, even I wouldn't pull the trigger on either of those, my man. Sorry...

I don't see how Fielder and Rickie are really that close any more... Prince has already proved in his first full season he can play. Rickie has done nothing but get hurt and lose his power stroke. Plus if you think Peavey is going anywhere for just Weeks you are crazy. Maybe fore Fielder but we'd probably have to throw in Zach Jackson.
