McClung to DL; Dillard recalled from Nashville

Dillard's K:BB ratio in Nashville is 1.05:1. Is there any reason to expect he'll do well as a major league starter?

He's not a strikeout pitcher, he's a sinkerball pitcher, so his job is to get guys to ground out. His GO/AO this year is 1.60 and last year was 2.07 so he seems to do that fairly well. At this point the expectation is for him to be replacement level/major league average, and if he can come in and have a 4.50 ERA as a starter that would be just fine, and would be better than what they have been getting.

A 4.50 starter would be fantastic at this point! A good sinkerball pitcher is a beautiful thing to watch, so here's hoping he keeps the ball down and good things happen.
