Arizona Fall League 2009 -- Cain, Green, Lucroy Awarded Spots

Kevbo74

Seems like there isn't much time to figure it out if they haven't done so by now. The last I heard was that the Hawaiian League was moving into Phoenix along with the Arizona Fall League . (Great for me, because I live in Phoenix)

But I haven't heard anything concrete. No details. Not even IF there will be an equivalent to the Hawaiian Winter League.

Hopefully I just missed any announcements. Anyone here know anything?

Also - What Brewers would it be fantastic to see?

I wouldn't mind seeing Cain and Green back again to make up some time - and Rogers and Braddock would be awesome.

Thanks Haas. Not necessarily bad news. Also makes it a bit more interesting on guessing who will be on the rosters, with the rule being tweaked to allow 2 A ball players per team.

I already can't wait to get my season pass. :-)

Adam McCalvy of MLB.com:

The pitchers won't get finalized until next week, but Doug Melvin said that outfielder Lorenzo Cain, infielder Taylor Green and catcher Jonathan Lucroy had been selected to represent the organization in the prospect-rich Arizona Fall League later this year.

Earlier we saw an indication that RHP Mark Rogers would be one of the arms.

Ash said Rogers and Butler will be two of the four pitchers. The Brewers also want to send left-hander Zach Braddock, a high-ranked prospect who recently was shut down with shoulder problems, then developed blisters. Braddock should return to action soon at Huntsville.
