How about Stetter in the 9th?

As much as it should happen it won't... Stetter should come in to face Loney but he won't... Most big league managers just don't have the guts to do it when they have a "closer"...

Now if we can get Hardy in here we better see Stetter facing Loney in the 9th!!!!

Good effort all around. It would have been nicer yet to maintain the shutout, but considering how rare that's been for Brewers pitching this year, I'm satisfied with Burns' outing.

Keep up the good work on Sunday, Brewers, and end the so-called first half on a brighter note.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Mike Burns, man of mystery

Nice pen work tonight all around, too. Loved seeing Coffey getting pumped up at the end of the 8th...he knows these are big games

That said, I echo the sentiments above: let's get it tomorrow--7 or 8 strong from Yo and a huge rebound day for Braunie...and Hart--and end this half on a high. It's been a mostly crummy homestand but winning a series against the league leaders that saw their aces on the mound would be a nice boost to take into the second-half charge.

Worst case is a winning record and 2d place into the break. Best case is a game out and even in the loss column.

Actually, since the Cards and Cubs play a DH tomorrow, the Crew could be 1/2 game out if the Cubs were to sweep the double dip.

I was a bit worried about the pen after the amount of innings they've had to cover the past couple days (and how they responded to that challenge), but Coffey was excellent, McClung was huge in sucking up a couple innings, and Trevor bounced back nicely from a rough outing last night. Hopefully Yo can work deep into the game tomorrow and the bullpen can get an extra day of rest during the break.
