Lesnar vs. Carwin now at UFC 106.

 

Ben Rothwell has replaced Carwin at UFC 104 against Cain Velasquez. Supposedly, Velasquez (if victorious) will get the Carwin-Lesnar winner.

 

I still believe that the Couture-Nogueira winner is going to get a shot in there somewhere, possibly before Velasquez? But it seems as though the map for the heavyweight title has been drawn for the next year or so.

I think it depends how their fights go. If Velasquez wins easily and doesn't get hurt at all he would get a shot first. I think the Couture-Nogueira winner regardless will need more time before their fight anyway. Especially if it's Couture because of his age. It does definitely set Lesnar up if he keeps winning to fight Carwin, Velasquez, Couture-Nogueira winner. If he gets through all of that maybe a third fight with Mir. Pretty smart of the UFC have Lesnar fight Carwin now instead of Carwin vs Velasquez. The loser of that fight isn't much of a title contender.

 

That said, does anyone think Carwin will beat Lesnar? I'd love to see him to it but I'm not sure he can.
