Sad news out of Nashville. Steve McNair has apparently been a victim of a double homicide.

I've seen some reports saying its a possible murder suicide, and others saying its a double homicide. I really hope this doesn't turn out to be a murder suicide. I've always thought so highly of Air McNair.

Very sad. I know him and Favre were kind of close - same agent, worked together on hurricane relief stuff a few years ago, both (initially) retired around the same time.

The original report said McNair was a victim of murder suicide by his wife and a woman was found dead closeby and was his wife. Now the ESPN article says its unclear what happened and the woman was not his wife. So who knows what happened at this point. This is terrible news. He was only 36 years old.

Latest report I just read says Nashville police are ruling out murder/suicide and are indicating both parties may have been dead longer than just this afternoon.

 

"Aaron (police spokesperson) ruled out the possibility of a murder-suicide. He also said that the time of the deaths is uncertain and that they may not have occurred Saturday."

 

Interesting as McNair's wife said she hadn't heard from him in a few days.
