Capturing Audio

I guess this is a 2 part question.

1. Since the MiLB audio doesn't archive, if I were to capture it and put it up on the net so Mass could link it, would that be a copyright infringement?

2. Working off the assumption I'm not infringing on MiLB, is it possible to capture streaming audio? Some of the team feeds pop up in a separate FF window, some of the audio comes through Windows media player. I'd be looking for a one size fits all sort of thing if I could find it. I found a FF plugin via google that supposedly captures streaming audio, but I was hoping someone had experience with a particular plugin or tool and could share some insight.

What you can do is loop back from your output to your line-in jack on your computer. There are probably better ways to do this now with just software, but looping it back is a sure-fire way to capture audio.

As far as the copyright question goes, it's probably something you'd have to ask each individual club. If I were to wager a guess, though, I'd have to say that it's probably not allowed.

Audacity

A great program that can record whatever is coming out of your speakers if you set it up right. So you can record any streaming audio.

Thanks, I've been using mp3mymp3, but it doesn't function on the laptop, would be nice to get something that works on the laptop as well.

hmm, mic attached to it? My guess is the sound is actually recording through the microphone instead of the output or the audio stream

You could use tubetilla and download it off of youtube and use it like that. Not sure if that is illegal or legal to do so.
