River tubing in Wisconsin

Bikeage77

Hopefully someone can give some suggestions. My friends and I have been planning a trip to go tubing in Spring Green tomorrow. However, because of some construction, the drop off point cannot be used. So we are looking to go somewhere less than 2.5 hours away from Milwaukee, that is deep enough to swim in, or doesn't have a super rocky bottom.

We went in the Wolf River outside of Madison last year, and it was shallow and very rocky, however it was near the end of the year, and the river is probably much higher now, but I'm not sure. Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm not a tuber, but I believe the Sugar River (Albany, not far from Madison) is a popular tubing spot.

Ended up going to Albany to Sugar River. It was a ton of fun. The water was deep enough to swim in, and there were a few spots to jump from trees hanging over the river. Good times, and pretty cheap too! 11 a tube, and with a group we got a free cooler tube. Will have to look into Somerset, we considered that, but the drive was a little much. Next time we'd like to go camping, then tube the next day, or vice versa.

Thanks for the suggestions!
