Child internet safety--Programs for download??

Hey all, my daughter is pushing 8 and using the computer a lot these days. I am looking for a good download/program (preferably free) that I can put on the computer just to keep things off the screen that she doesn't need to see. I've already set her google search to strict filtering as that is where she looks for most of her stuff.

 

I looked on my Windows site and it seems their filter is for use in IE, which I don't use. I was looking around Firefox's links and stuff and didn't really see anything, maybe I missed it?

 

Also, when I do find a program will I have to download it under my administrative account and apply it to hers? (She has her own login that I just created for her.) Hope that made sense.

 

Anyhow, I have Windows XP and use Firefox if that helps with suggestions.
