The Joe Buck Show

lodiness
Did anyone catch this the other night? Artie Lang is hilarious!!! The show itself I believe could have used a ton of improvement. The interviews were dry, and it never really seemed to flow well. I think that the only thing that saved it for me was Artie Lang. What do ya think?

If it weren't for Artie Lang, I wouldn't have even known the show had debuted.

Artie Lange wasn't funny. His schtick is lame. The Favre interview was a good interview and while the show had some rough spots, Lange went on there to dive bomb it. The guy is a one trick pony who had to bring the show down to his level. Both Rudd and Sudakis are funnier than him and couldn't get a word in edgewise.

They had to know what kind of comic Lange was when they booked him, right?

I have no problem with Lange or dirty comedy, but I find him to be such an odd choice for any show's debut.

"His whole life is a fantasy camp. People should plunk down $2000 to live like him for a week. Sleep, do nothing, fall ass-backwards into money, mooch food off your neighbors and have sex without dating... THAT'S a fantasy camp."

Lange was awesome and if that was your only exposure to him he is actually more talented then just roasting. I listen to him daily on the Stern Show and he's really quite tame in comparison and actually quite witty.

The show was awful until that last bit. The Favre interview was lame, all of the questions were cupcakes. Also, his last segment was a rip off of Bill Maher's 'New Rules'. But how great was that David Wright piece?

Did anyone catch the Overtime portion on HBO.com after? That was actually even better. That's when Artie went banana's on him. I'm not saying he was though provoking or anything but HBO told him to be entertaining if Rudd and the other guy were boring. Well, it's HBO and he's a blue comic, what did they expect? Would anyone else be talking about this show if it weren't for Artie?
